Hydropower

Hydropower, the traditional clean energy source, is the foundation of Hanergy Mobile Energy 's development.

Hanergy Mobile Energy invested in the construction of hydropower projects in Yunnan, Guangdong and other provinces.Hanergy Mobile Energy has a total installed capacity of 6 GW from its completed and on-going hydropower projects.

Jin'anqiao Hydropower Station

The Jin’anqiao Hydropower Station is located on the Jinsha River in Yunnan Province. It is the fifth grade of the “One Library and Eight Levels” approved by the State Council. With a total investment of 20 billion yuan (approximately 3.2 billion dollars) and installed capacity of 3GW, it started to establish in 2003. In August 2012, all four generators were connected to the grid for power generation with its annual power output of 13 billion KWH. Jin’anqiao Hydropower Station is a major power supplier to eastern Chinese provinces, giving it a key role in China’s ‘Yunnan Province Energy Exports and Western Energy Supports the East’ electric power generation strategy. The project is recognized by China Federation of Industry and Commerce to be the first national large infrastructure project constructed by a private company. Thanks to this accomplishment, Hanergy Mobile Energy is now regarded as a highly effective builder of very large-scale hydropower stations. From 2013 to 2016, Jinanqiao Hydropower Station was awarded the Top 100 Enterprises in Yunnan Province for 4 consecutive years.
